Custom development service

LiteCommerce customization service includes alteration and tailoring of existing functionality for all official releases of LiteCommerce. This is the most popular development service related to our products. During several years of communication with our clients, we created a scheme which, as shown by feedback of our clients, is very convenient for project implementation.

A LiteCommerce customization project consists of several stages:

1. Task creation

Upon receiving your request, one of our sales representatives involves into communication with you and settles all the details of desired functionality. During discussion of project specification our sales manager will help you to make an exact list of requirements which will include every detail that is necessary to create.

After details are settled, sales representative will inform you about the cost of your project and the exact timeframe for performing custom programming. Upon your agreement, we issue an invoice for you to make a payment for the project (please note that preliminary discussion of your task is free of charge).

2. Task development

After the invoice is payed, our engineers start working on the development itself.

To make sure that the development process won't affect the proper functionality of your existing online store, we perform all modifications on our test server using an exact copy of your shopping cart retrieved from your server. It also allows us to demonstrate the new functionality so you could examine how your store will look like and make any comments or request changes if necessary.

Also, during development the engineers are accessible via HelpDesk system for any questions and comments from your side.

3. Task upload

Next, after receiving your approval, we upload modifications onto your live store. This process also includes careful testing of a new features and basic store functionality. After uploading, we inform you on completion, wait for your approval and possible comments.

4. Report creation

If there is nothing to code, test and verify, we perform the final action uploading a report.

Task report allows to see which files and code portions of your shopping cart were modified. All modified files are backed up into report archive. Also, the report contains a patch which allows quick installation and restoration of the modification if necessary.

Note: Complex and extensive template changes in LiteCommerce stores made during custom development services may impact negatively on further upgradeability of these stores. Automatic upgrade procedure may not be possible and upgrade packs may have to be applied manually (this process requires some technical skills from the customer). However, it's always possible to order the transfer of all custom modifications to the latest version of LiteCommerce from our company.
